Creepy Tipi es el seudónimo audiovisual de Santiago Esteban Glez.
Ha realizado vídeos para discográficas como Elefant Records o Gran Derby Records o piezas audiovisuales para la exposición de los pintores Greta Malmcrona y Pablo Gago, ganador de un premio Goya al mejor diseño de vestuario por la película La leyenda de Baltasar el castrado.
Sus últimos trabajos audiovisuales con un corte más experimental le han valido distintos elogios.

TURNED OFF
La contaminación lumínica, o luz artificial nocturna, es el uso excesivo o deficiente de luz artificial en exteriores, y altera los patrones naturales de la vida silvestre, contribuye al aumento de dióxido de carbono (CO2) en la atmósfera, perturba el sueño humano y oscurece las estrellas del cielo nocturno. Según algunos estudios, un niño nacido hace 20 años en un área donde eran visibles 250 estrellas, en la actualidad, dos décadas más tarde, tan solo puede ver un centenar en ese mismo lugar. Turned off es un reflejo de este problema que nos concierne a todos, 12 pantallas demostrando el poder de la luz tanto como elemento destructivo en nuestro día a día como creativo y beneficioso en palabras del director de fotografía de Sven Nykvist, conocido por su trabajo junto al director de cine Ingmar Bergman.

Light pollution, or artificial light at night, is the excessive or poor use of artificial outdoor light, and it disrupts the natural patterns of wildlife, contributes to the increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere, disrupts human sleep, and obscures the stars in the night sky. According to some studies, a child born 20 years ago in an area where 250 stars were visible, today, two decades later, can only see a hundred in the same place. Turned off is a reflection of this problem that concerns us all, 12 screens demonstrating the power of light both as a destructive element in our daily lives and as a creative and beneficial one in the words of cinematographer Sven Nykvist, known for his work with film director Ingmar Bergman.

YOUTH IS ETERNAL
La Juventud Eterna hace referencia a la inmortalidad frente a las depredaciones del envejecimiento. Hasta ahora, lograr esa eterna juventud estaba más allá de las capacidades de la tecnología científica, solo algunos medios como el digital, a partir de sus ceros y unos y, a pesar de su pubertad, nos hacen creer en lo perdurable. En tiempos de pandemia es cuando el ser humano es más sensible a su mortalidad y a su voluntad de comunicación, tiene la obligación moral ante sus coetáneos y ante sí mismos de buscar color y dar respuesta a sus sentimientos desde un prisma joven y moderno; desde la luz y el color. YOUTH IS ETERNAL utiliza la pintura digital para aplicar estos conceptos y así expresar distintos sentimientos durante el periodo de pandemia, desde la lentitud de las horas, al horror del caos o del detalle y el patrón infinito.

Eternal Youth refers to immortality in the face of the ravaging of aging. Until now, achieving this eternal youth was beyond the capabilities of scientific technology. Only certain means such as digital media, with their zeros and ones, make us believe in the enduring despite their puberty. In pandemic times is when human beings are more sensitive to their mortality and their will to communicate. They have the moral obligation to their peers and to themselves to seek color and respond to their feelings from a young and modern prism; from light and color. YOUTH IS ETERNAL uses digital painting to apply these concepts to express different feelings during the pandemic period, from the slowness of the hours, to the horror of chaos or detail and the infinite pattern.
